Google My Business (now called Google Business Profile) is a free tool that helps you manage how your business appears on Google Search and Maps. It allows you to showcase your products or services, share updates, collect reviews, and make it easy for customers to find and contact you.

How to Access:
Go to google.com/business and sign in with your Google account. From there, you can create or claim your business profile and start managing your online presence right away.

Not every business needs an Employer Identification Number (EIN), but most benefit from having one. An EIN is like a Social Security number for your business — it’s issued by the IRS and used to identify your business for tax purposes.

You must have an EIN if you:

Hire employees
Operate as a corporation or partnership
File certain business taxes
Open a business bank account under your business name

If you’re a sole proprietor with no employees, you can use your personal SSN — but getting an EIN is still recommended. It helps you separate personal and business finances, protect your identity, and look more professional.
